Overview
Data analysis is essential to business, education, research, government, and personal use. Business intelligence (BI) is a suite of tools, applications, and processes for analyzing data. Business intelligence in Excel enables you to accomplish tasks that previously required the help of professional data analysts. In this chapter, you are introduced to business intelligence tools in Excel including queries and the data model.
Objectives
At the end of this week, you will be able to:
- Create an Excel query.
- Edit a query in Power Query.
- Use external data sources.
- Merge and append queries.
- Manipulate data in a query.
- Work with the Excel data model.
- Review PivotTable tools.
- Explore Power Pivot.
You will also have an opportuntity to complete our course evaluation.
